A Picnic In The Park With Leonard Cohen

This segment from a documentary entitled "This Beggar's Description" was directed by Pierre Tétrault and chronicles the ups and downs in the life of his brother Philip.
In this clip, Leonard Cohen sits with his neighborhood buddy Philip Tétrault and talk about old times, poetry and other stuff at what has come to be known as "Leonard's Park" in Montreal.

You are playing to people who have experienced a catastrophe.
This should make you very quiet.
Speak the words, convey the data, step aside.
Everyone knows you are in pain.
You cannot tell the audience everything you know about love
in every line of love you speak.
Step aside and they will know what you know
because they know it already.
You have nothing to teach them.
--Leonard Cohen (from "Death of a Lady's Man")
